embedded objects size and chart size changes ( and I don't want it

I have excel charts that were created in excel and then embedded into a power
point file, seperate slides. I now update the charts in Powerpoint. The
problem that I am having is that when I activate the embedded object, and do
my updates, the object changes size, along with the chart size. This causes
me great pain. How can I keep the object size from changing?
