embedded midi files are great in preview but not on web

when I embed a midi file using Frontpage and click preview it sounds great.
Once uploaded to the server and played back thruthe internet, it is garbled,
sticky and sounds horrible. Any suggestions?

two possibilities:
when you use it locally you're getting it as fast as your computer can
process it, when it's on the web the speed the .midi comes in at is
significantly slower.
or maybe it got corrupted somehow during publishing.

what is the file size of your local copy of the .midi file?
