embbedde images won't appear in file opened from hyperlink

Hello All,

I have a file that contains images (jpg & pdf). When I open it from Windows
Explorer the images appear without any problems. When I open it from the
hypelink I created in Word the images do not appear. Has anyone out there
ever encountered anything like this? Making this hyperlink work properly is
vital to a critical process in my organization. I am getting desperate.

Hi CAbells,

If you inserted a link to the image on one computer, then transferred the Word file to another computer, the link would most likely
not work - Word would have no way of knowing you weren't trying to access a file via the same path on the new computer.
