emails with attachments

I have a problem sending emails with attackments larger than about 50KB I am
running XP SP2, Trend micro internet security and am using Outlook Express6
SP1, can anyone give any suggestions to help

How do you connect to the Internet? Dialup or broadband? Which ISP? What
does the problem consist of? What happens when you try? Any error
messages, and if so, what is the text of them?

You forgot to say what problem or error message?

I remember when CompuServe truncated e-mails at 64K, but that just cut off
mailing lists at something less than that (plus headers). But that was a
very long time ago.
