emails use US dictionary for spelling

Whenever I compose new mail like this one for example,
down the bottom is the indication it is checking the
spelling with the US English dictionary. Now when I use
the menus as described below this it not what I think
should be happening.
In MS outlook go to "Tools" followed by "Options" and
then click on the spelling tab, the "international
dictionary" listed is "English (Australian)" and yet
every new mail composition is opened with the English
(US).

Is this a bug or how do I fix it.

Hmmm - are you using Word as your e-mail editor? (check Tools | Options |
Mail Format).
