Emails stay in Outbox when back to online

Hi there,

My MS Outlook 2003 is the client of my Exchange server. I sometimes work
offline.

I have been having some issues with Outlook sync, specifically, if I create
an email offline, and hit the send button, it puts it in the Outbox.
However, when I sync it up (when I'm online) it does not send that email. I
have just come across emails that I thought had been sent out two weeks back
but are still sitting in my Outbox (offline). They are NOT visible in the
Outbox or Drafts folder while I'm online. When I try to sync it by hitting
Send/Receive -- they do not get synced (sent out).

Any idea would be appreciated,

Ross

The scan fails when you scan an Offline Folder file by using the Inbox
Repair tool in Outlook 2003

After furious head scratching, tophre asked:

| Possibly a corrupted .ost file. Try running scanpst.exe against it
| for errors.

Do NOT use scan.pst on an .ost file. See this article:

According to Microsoft, SCANPST does not work on OSTs. There's a separate
SCANOST program for that, and it should be in the same folder SCANPST is.
