emails i can't delete

i rec'd a number of legit emails from ebay this morning when auctions ended,
but for some reason cannot delete them, emails before this batch and those
i've rec'd after delete just fine, but when i access these, outlook goes into
not responding mode...i've been working on this problem for a better part of
three hours and have tried everything short of wiping the hard drive
clean...anyone have any suggestions...i would certainly be appreciated

Try selecting a message before and hold shift then select a message after
the group and shift+delete. If you need to keep copies of the first and last
messages, select each one and ctrl+c,v to make copies.
