My old HD was going bad, so i bought a new seagate. I used the seagate
utility to copy my old hd onto the new one. After this, I loaded outlook, and
hit send receive. After a few seconds on receiving all my email accounts, my
inbox and all the other subfolders were still empty.

When outlook opened, I was prompted to find a file, dont remember which one,
i just inserted my origional disc, and it installed.

I hope someone can help me, as all my emails are being deleted from online
when i send receive, but i dont see a single one of them.

You should always state your Outlook version since solutions offered are not
always universal.

Outlook is probably not deleting any mail, it's probably just not showing it to
you. Check your View (Current View) setting...it should be "Messages" for the
Inbox.

If you have multiple accounts, did you have any Rules setup to move incoming
mail to other folders? If so, where these rules also loaded or recreated?

Sorry, was not sure what details were needed.

I am running Outlood 2003 11.5608.5606. I have rules setup that sory my mail
into subfolders depending on different criteria. My rules look the same, as
well as all my old mail is there from before I backed stuff up. I did notice
that my MSN messenger is coming up with a blank icon as well.

Nothing looks different besides the face when i send receive, my emails just
go to thin air.

Outlook 2003 11.5608.5606

All my rules point mail to subfolders of the inbox. All the subfolders are
still there. All my old mail is still there. When I send/receive, I see it
downloading the emails, but I dont see my emails in any folder.

Since you have "old" mail, I assume that you transferred these from your
previous setup. Just how did you do this? Do you, by chance, have two PST files
active and maybe the rules are sending mail to one that you're not looking at?

Also, you haven't stated whether your folder View is correct or not.

I used the seagate utility that came with the hard drive and it duplicated my
old drive onto the new one.

And yes, my view is correct.

I understand now. In your original post you stated that you loaded Outlook after
restoring the drive, that's why I thought you may have multiple PST files.

I would disable the rules and verify each account by sending a message to
yourself. If this works then I'd re-do the rules, one at a time, and verify.

Also, check to be sure that you're using the previous profile to login both the
OS and Outlook. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

Hopefully, someone else will jump in here with a solution for you.

Here's one to try, if it's available in your version: Detect and Repair

I'm running OL 2002, in this version it's shown as a Help option.

Good luck

| Did all that. No change :(

Thank you David. I appreciate your help. That did the trick. Thanks for
sticking with me.

You're welcome....I'm glad to hear that it's all sorted out with a simple fix.
Next time this problem comes up in the newsgroup, I'll suggest this repair
procedure first.

Thanks for the feedback.
