When I reply to an email my reply is posted to my own
inbox. When I click on sent items there is no reference
to the reply having been sent. On checking I find that
the reply was actually sent to the intended recipient as
well as to myself. Any advice on what is causing this
difficulty? Disney

There is an option in Outlook to have replies stored in the same
folder as the original message instead of in the Sent Items folder -
although this isn't supposed to apply to the Inbox folder.

Check that you have 'Save copies of messages in Sent Items' enabled
in:
Tools> Options> Preferences> Email Options
Check that you don't have 'Save replies with original message' enabled
in:
Tools> Options> Preferences> Email Options> Advanced E-mail Options

Also check that you don't have a Rule that is automatically moving
your messages after they are sent.
