How do I get some kind of respons or sound to let me know that I have
recieved an email.

You would have to leave Windows Mail running, but you can
minimize it.

Gary VanderMolen

Control Panel | Sound | Sounds tab
Now look for New E-mail notification

If it's not working, check your settings for sound.

Hi, I'm having a similar issue. I want to get the email notification icon in
the right lower corner. There use to be an envelope icon that would show
when I had new mail and all I had to do is click on it and it would open
mail. Does this not work in Vista? Sometimes I see the envelope icon but it
doesn't do anything when I click on it.

Thanks

That will only happen if WinMail is open and set to check for mail every so
often. Just like OE was.
