Email word doc as attachment using a macro?

How can I use a macro to email a doc as an attachment to a known email address?
 
My question is this:

My corporate environment runs off of Lotus Notes and it generates a "Your
Mail System does not support certain services needed for document routing."
Is there a way to add the recipient using the Sendmail code /without/
document routing?
