When I try to send an email, I get an "invalid certificate" message, saying
Outlook could not sign or encrypt this mssage because you have no valid
certificate. I never used or wanted a digital signature. What can I do to
correct the problem?

Don't use digital signing in Outlook. It's a security OPTION.

Thanks. I have 2 inboxes set up in Outlook, one for my msn address, the
other for my cable address. Ironically, the Security tabs in Options look
very different in each of the Inbox windows (I'm using Outlook 2002 on
Windows XP Pro). Despite every assurance that I had not checked any boxes in
the cable address inbox, low & behold I found data encryption checked in the
other inbox & fixed the problem.
