email will not send

I have tried for several days to send email and keep getting the same messages.

The host 'SMPT>smpt.gmail.com' could not be found. Please verify that you

For starters, get rid of the "SMPT>" in the server name.
Then follow these directions for the correct server names and ports, etc...

The "smtp" part of the server name is correct. It is the port number that is incorrect. Should be 465 not 25 and the SSL should be checked.
These settings are changed in the ADVANCED tab of the account settings.

'SMPT>smpt.gmail.com' is incorrect...
it should be "smtp.gmail.com"

I didn't notice the transposed t & p the first time... I think everything is
incorrect...

Besides the SMTP -- SMPT typing error you are also using the wrong port
number.
