email this file

When I open "My Pictures" in home XP and click on "email
this file", it automatically brings up my email program.
the problem is that I have changed from MSN dialup to SBC
Yahoo dsl. I am using the yahoo email program now and no
long have dialup. How do I change the settings so that
when I want to use the "email this file" function that my
SBC email program comes up?

I'm not familiar with SBC's mail program,is it a stand-
alone client like Outlook or Eudora? Or is it webmail?
Your OS is probably looking for a mail client, not a
webpage. As far as I know you would need a POP3 program
like Outlook or Eudora to take advantage of that feature.
There are places that offer free or very low cost POP3
email accounts that would allow you to use a client
regardless of what internet provider you are using. I
don't know if Yahoo offers that as part of your package or
not, but see if they offer you POP3 settings.

Are you using the SBC.Yahoo web email interface instead of Outlook Express?
If so, you can configure Outlook Express to access your SBC.Yahoo mailbox.

If you are using Outlook Express, from Internet Explorer go to Tools,
Internet Options, and Programs and set Outlook Express as your default Email
program.

Call SBC/Yahoo if this doesn't work for you.

Open Internet Explorer and click on the TOOLS menu.
Click on Internet Options on the bottom of the menu that
pops up.
Click on the PROGRAMS tab.
On the E-mail line, click the down arrow and select the SBC
mail client.
Click OK

Sorry to be the bearer of bad Installing MSN8 "breaks" this MailTo
association and AFAIK there's no way to fix it short of reinstalling IE or
Windows.
