email stuck in outbox

I am tying to delete an email that its in outlook. It has a 19mb attachement.
I have tried to hit delete but nothing happens. When I try to open the email,
I get a message that the email cannot be opened because it is in process of
being sent. How do I delete the message. It is blocking my rec'ing other
email in.
 
go to File> work offline, close outlook and then reopen outlook and delete
the message in the outbox.....when you are through go back online
This worked for me yesterday
 
Thanks for the help. I tried to do this but it did not work. The messg would
not delete.
