email sorting problem in inbox

This is quite a strange situation, I have a user on WinXP and Outlook 2003,
when he highlight an email and perform sorting, it is suppose that the
selected email will stay highlighted after the sorting was done, but if he
highlight an email and sort first by receieved, then name, still normal, but
then sort with subject after that, some mail will change to highlight an
email with blank "subject" item, but if the sorting was done without
grouping, everything is normal, is that a bug in OL2003 or something can be
done?

Hey I am having a very similar problem, only my sorting is not performed
correctly when I click on the "from" field???????
