email signature files and Netscape 7.1

I would like to add signatures to my emails but I want to be able to
choose the appropriate sig for the newsgroup or recipient that I am
sending the message to. Is there any freeware that would let me do this?

There is a program RoboType which WAS free, is now part of PC magazine's
library. Perhaps you can find an old copy.
Allows using abreviations very easily.

Try FreeAgent.
