email sent from my address

Whenever I create an email using a cut and paste technique from other emails
2 emails are sent. The first one is the one I intended to send. The other
one contains HTML code and does not appear in my sent box. I am using
Outlook 2003 and installed all updates and am running virus protection. Any
idea???
 
Try to set to Plaintext or Rich Text for sending and see if will still
happen
 
Forget using rich text unless you are sure you re sending to Outlook. Other
email clients don't read rtf.
 
2 emails are sent or one email is sent with an attachment?
Does this happen when you send to yourself?
 
Try removing and then re-add the account.
Next disable any antivirus email integration you might have.
Next try running scanpst.exe on the PST file.
