Email password automatic reset

Do anyone can tell me what is happend to Ms outlook XP for
below problem?

Everytime I launch MS outlook XP and check email by key in
email password. This password was not save in password
list. It suppose keep in the password list since MS
outlook is not close. But after a few minutes, if I want
to check email, I need to re-key in email password. Why?
Anything happend in Ms outlook?

Anyone know, please advice.
