Email notification problem on Welcome screen

My XP unit accesses five separate email accounts provided
through Cox. When I start the computer up, the welcome
screen gives me a notification of how many unread email
messages I have, but when I hover over the notification,
the email addresses it is referencing are not the cox.net
email account that I would like to have associated with
my XP user name.

How can I correct this?

To remove an account or to change the count manually Got to:
Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.
