Email not automatically added to contacts

In versions of Outlook Express when you received an email
it would automatically add that address to your contacts
list. This was a pain, but sometimes useful. With Outlook
2003 is there a way to tell easily if a contact is
already in your contacts when you receive a message from
them? Icon, color, anything?

Not simply from the appearance of the address.
R click > Add to Contacts will quickly identify those already in your
Contacts Folder.
