Am using Office 2003 to merge Word documents with an Access database into
Outlook for emailing. The document merge goes fine and all the emails end up
in the outlook outbox, ready to send (quantities 100-9000). I start the send
and it will send out a ramdom amount of emails (300-2000) and stop sending. I
close outlook and reopen and start the send again. Sometimes it will go other
times not. I will do this several times and the entire merge will finally go.
At other times it requires a complete deletion of merged emails in outlook,
remerging the unsent emails and going thru the process again of it stopping
and trying to restart sending process. This all makes no sense to me and is
very frustrating as I have a new computer with all new programming. Is there
something I am missing in setup? Does this outlook program tend to run like
this and I am stuck with It?? I was assured that I could do this type of
merge, have it running in the background and go about my other work from
various knowlegable people. Any help and direction would be appreciated.

Are you at work using an Exchange server? Or at home using an ISP? The ISP
will set your sending limits, usually at far less than your target mailing
size. Contact them to see if you can get it raised for your account.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I work at home with an ISP. The sending limit is not an issue, I resolved
that already with them. Last night for example I sent out 2000 at a time,
with all the same problems as stated below. It would stop after 20-30 emails,
then finally wouldn't restart at all. I turned off the computer and after
turning it back on this a.m. the program is now sending. It makes no sense.
It has sent 400 without incidence. I don't know how long it will go.
