Help! Whenever I get an email and I click on a link that it has, it just sits there. It won't link to Internet Explorer. How can I fix it?

Links In Outlook Express mail and news don't work.

I have Outlook not Outlook Express. When I go to options there isn't a place to check "Make Outlook Express my default mail program". I did set it all in IE though. The weird thing is that I have had no problems for years until recently and I don't know why I have the problems now.

It is possibe you have parasites, spyware, adware, malware, or hijackware on
your system causing the problem, which your antivirus will not detect, as it
does not have the same definitions. Download and install, then you *MUST*
update the programs prior to running to be sure they have the latest
definitions, then run the programs below. They are free and very effective.
Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware, as what one does not detect the
other may. It is important that you do all the steps and follow all
directions carefully:

OK then. When you open Outlook go to Tools>options>other tab>general
section>make sure Outlook is checked as default e-mail client.
Otherwise, trying the suggestions as offered by other posters is the best I
can say at this point. If you've not had problems before, and this has only
recently happened, I would think three things are possible: 1) Some Malware
program/Virus has "infected" your machine 2) Something has gotten corrupted
by some means or an installation of some other program 3) An update of some
kind may have affected the program. However rare and unlikely that seems, it
*does* happen. However, I run Outlook 2002 as part of Office XP on W98se and
all is updated and in perfect working order.
And remember, in the future please try to make a "good post" so that you can
be assisted as expeditiously as possible. ;-))

OK then. When you open Outlook go to Tools>options>other tab>general
section>make sure Outlook is checked as default e-mail client.
Otherwise, trying the suggestions as offered by other posters is the best I
can say at this point. If you've not had problems before, and this has only
recently happened, I would think three things are possible: 1) Some Malware
program/Virus has "infected" your machine 2) Something has gotten corrupted
by some means or an installation of some other program 3) An update of some
kind may have affected the program. However rare and unlikely that seems, it
*does* happen. However, I run Outlook 2002 as part of Office XP on W98se and
all is updated and in perfect working order.
And remember, in the future please try to make a "good post" so that you can
be assisted as expeditiously as possible. ;-))
