Email links don't go to correct place?

I am currently using Outlook 2002. I am having a problem when I click on a
link inside an email. Every time I click on any link in an email, it
automatically goes to a program on my computer and starts to install it. The
program is a legit program that I use, so I don't think it is any kind of
virus. I can't seem to find anything that could be causing this problem.
