Email Line Spacing

Hi:

I am usinh Outlook 2003 (Office 2003).
When I click to start a New email message, and start typing,
the spacing is such that it appears to be "double-spaced".
If I go under Format > Paragraph > Line Spacing
it is set to Automatic. If I set it to 0, the text appears the
way I want it to. How do I make this the Default setting
for my email messages so that they start up with this
line spacing ?

Thank you

Word as e-mail editor I assume? The line spacing should be set to Single.
Also make sure your default style is set to Normal. Make these changes in
Word and not while composing a new e-mail (starting Word through Outlook).

Dale,
I am having the same problem I have tried everything I can think of to make
the single spacing between paragraphs the default, but it won't stick. I
have tried editing email in Word and HTML with the same result. If I set the
spacing before and after the paragraph to zero, it works, but only for that
session. Have you figured out the fix yet?

I'm having exactly the same problem. I created stationery, loaded it up, and
it looks great. But, I can't get out of single spacing. I turned on the
styles tool bar and the style that it uses for the e-mail body by default is
'Normal + Verdana, 10 pt, Black, After: 12 pt'. I can alter that style or
apply a new style to fix an email that I am sending, but how can I make a new
default style???

HELP!

DaveH -
Did you figure out how to fix the single spacing when creating stationery.
I am having the exact same problem.

So you are still having the problem with getting the
spacing to be single spaced on stationery?

Ms. T.

I'm using Outlook 2007 and having the exact same prob as well. Even if I
click the "default" button and select "yes" to save for future new messages.

Very frustrating!

I can't get the default line spacing to stick either. I'm just posting here
so I'll be notified if anyone posts an answer.
