I can't for the life of me think why you'd want to do that, but most
people make signature files for that information. It's a letterbottom
rather than a letterhead. But it works well.
The answer to your question is no, I don't know of any freeware that
makes letterheads.
However...
You can use the Signature option of your email program to create text
or (in some programs) insert a graphic into the signature of your email
and then have it appear in the body of the text when it's time to write
new mail. When you create that text or insert the graphic, add a few
<ENTER> punches and then create your actual signature. So you'll have
the graphic, then several blank lines, and then your actual signature.
Whenever you start writing new email, just start typing somewhere in
those blank lines between the upper and lower portions of your
signature.
Does anyone know of a freeware program that makes email letterhead?
You can make a background for your emails in Outlook Express which should
allow you to place whatever you want where you want. There is a selection of
predefined papers and then an assistant to make your own. Sorry I can't be
more precise about menu location, my Outlook is in french. The menu for this
is between Options and Help (Message or Mail ?) It's the second of the first
two lines in this dropdown.
Well, as in the world of business letterhead, email letterhead quite a handy
feature when someone is using email to offer something for sale to have your
contact information at the top rather than at the bottom of the email. It
helps with name recognition and makes it easier for the recipient to find
the contact information.
But, thanks for taking the time to think about why I would want to do that.
I'm sure it took quite a bit of time out of your busy schedule.
If you use Outlook Epress, you an use the stationary or download one for it.
Another thing you could do is scan your company logo (if you have one) and
create your own stationary.
