I have noticed that there are items in my Outlook 2003 mail folders that
won't archive according to the settings. They are still there after newer
items have successfully auto archived and also after doing a manual archive
from the file menu.
I have checked that the path to the archive PST file is correct, but the
items, which are much older than the 12 months set as the default Auto
Archive settings (some folders are set individually to shorter periods).
None of the items is explicitly set to 'Don't archive', although ticking the
box to include these items makes no difference.
Are there other criteria that determine whether or not an item is archived?
I know I can manually move them to the Archive folder, but I'd prefer to
know why they aren't behaving the way they should.
Any suggestions?
