Email IMPORTANCE

For the last couple weeks without me doing anything some of my Email is now
going to the bottom of each Email folder under NORMAL.

I have never set anything to be normal, important or low and never knew
there was such a setting.

This is making things difficult since I cannot move it up where it should be.

I have not found anyway to turn this off so how in heck does one get this
thing OFF.

And without any help from me how did it even get activated?

You must be sorting or grouping by importance for that to happen. Incoming
email importance is set by the sender. You can only control the importance
of email you send.
 
Bill read again what I said, I said I NEVER KNEW YOU COULD SORT and that it
started happening without me doing anything a couple weeks ago.

Now since you are so sure I am sorting which is not true why not answer my
question, HOW DO I TURN LOW NORMAL OR HIGH OFF, I do not want it, I do not
like it and I DID NOT DO ANYTHING to CREATE IT TO SORT.

Your right, sorry but hopefully you can explain how for several years I get
the Email from the same board, I say board rather then sender as there are
many senders from this one location and another and always they have never
had that "normal" and even now with new Email, meaning new people or
businesses it is doing that, not every piece but a enough to have me come
here to find out what is going on.

Not questioning anyone but some of these are good friends and if there were
going to change the status would have said something to me first so I would
be aware of it.

Is there a way to redirect all those "normal" back to the upper section with
the other mail?

have you thought of just removing the column from your view that shows this
status? (Right-click on it and choose "remove this column")
 
Sure but comes the next Email and it is back again.

I can say this for a fact now, another one just went there and I know for a
fact the sender is not doing it, how do I know, because I have an Internet
business and sell on several venue's and this has never happened till from
any of them.

Something in Outlook 2003 is causing this problem, not the sender as
mentioned.

Amazon, Albiris, Biblio do not send mail that way and as I said I know this
for a fact.

Outlook does have its quirks but in all the years I have used it this has
never happened.

I am thinking there is a problem inside Outlook that MS caused in the last
update.

whatever it is I need it out ASAP and deleting is not going to work, once I
delete the mail it goes away till the next mail.

There is no way to uncheck the box, no way to remove it once it is in. I am
not interested in spending money to buy the latest version as I have found
each update gets more confusing and changes things we cannot change back.

Can someone who works for Microsoft get involved here and if they know how
to fix this problem call me or Email me?

Sorry but after this last Email that went there I know it is not the sender.
 
SOMEONE SAID DELETE THEM, WELL NOW THAT IS SENDING THEM TO ANOTHER OF MY
EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH IS OR WAS TILL NOW STRICTLY FOR BUSINESS, NOW ALL THE
MAIL IS GOING THERE.

DON'T TELL ME THIS IS NORMAL AS IT IS NOT.

HOW ABOUT EXPLAINING WHY NOW THAT I DID WHAT THE EXPERT SAYS IT IS WORST AND
SENDING THAT DELETED NOT TO THE DELETE FOLDER BUT TO AS I SAID ANOTHER EMAIL
ADDRESS?

THERE TRULY IS SOMETHING WRONG HERE.

"Normal" is normal importance. Nobody needs to do anything to set that level
of importance.
Try resetting your view.
 
Here is what I just did, I went to "view", "arrange by" then tried to remove
the check mark next to "importance" but it will not remove, am I doing it
correctly or is there another way to remove the check next to the box
"importance"?

Sorry about yelling but things that always worked correctly then suddenly
changed and nothing works to fix it sometimes gets my frustrated.

What I'd try is View | Current View | Customize Current View .. click the
Reset Current View button.
In Arrange By you'd choose "Date" and then it should change to the standard
view.
I can understand it can be frustrating - same applies here often. ;)

If not of that helps can you post a screenshot of what you see online and
then post a link here. It will be much easier to see what you see.
