Tracee Maynard

Dear all,

My computer decided to move the folders & their contents out of OE and into
a new folder which I was creating on my desktop. The folders & contents are
now stored as separate files all with the .dbx file extension (inbox.dbx,
sent items.dbx etc...).
My inbox on OE is now empty, minus the welcome email you get with it.
I run an animal welfare group and desperately need these emails back within
OE, as they are very important! Can someone please tell me what I can do
to restore the emails back into OE?

Tracee.

Hi Tracee... http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com should be able to help you get
your OE data back. That website also has a wealth of other useful Outlook
Express information.

For future reference, please note that this newsgroup is for support of
Outlook 97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name. For help
with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6). If
your ISP's news server doesn't carry all of the Microsoft public newsgroups,
you can add the free msnews.microsoft.com server to your newsreader program.

If you're accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!

You should be able to "import folders". Not too sure where
to find it on OE but it should be fairly easy to find if
you go to help.
