G Guest Mar 9, 2005 #3 I already have HTML chosen, but still the format toolbar does not appear by default.

G Guest Mar 10, 2005 #5 Which toolbars are you displaying? Right-click the toolbar. What's checked? Thanks for your help. Only the Standard toolbar shows. I can always right-click and select Formatting, but would really prefer to have it show up as a default.

Click to expand... If the Formatting toolbar is enabled when you close a window, it should remain enabled when next you open that same type of window.

Sorry but that did not work either. Here's what I did (an idea came) and it did work. With the formatting toolbar open I right-clicked & chose Customize. With Formatting highlighted I clicked on Reset. It's working fine even after a computer restart. Thanks for you help and concern.
