have your host re-apply the FrontPage server extensions to the web(s) in
question.
you're getting the message because of a lack of server extensions.

Reset the extensions and then use FrontPage to Publish all.

In other words republish the entire site to the new server.

You need to delete the site on the remote server via FP, then remove and re-install the extensions,
then publish the site from your local PC back to the remote server.

i just found this on microsoft...

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;320872

this does seem to give the fix to what im getting but its
not totally matching up and still not working. by
default on the form properties, it wants to send the
results to "_private/form_results.csv" and not any kind
of text file like this is describing. I have tried
creating a text file like this fix mentions but there is
no change, i still get the same problems. I am using
FP2002 as well. any more ideas?

when you say to delete the site via FP, is there some
special "delete all" function somewhere that you are
referring to? the only way i know of doing that via FP
is when in the Publish Web window, highlight everything
in the right window (stuff on the server) and just hit
delete.

I did just try again removing the site totally from the
control panel on the server, readding the domain, and
reinstalling the extensions and doing a full site upload
again and still nothing

Then you should not have anything in the file name field, just the email address in the field below.
