Email Folders Missing

B

I am using Outlook 2007 with Vista Home Premium. I have several different
email folders e.g. Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent, Deleted, Junk, reference and
others. The first 6 always show on the left when I log in but the others are
not always shown and I'm not able to access them. This happens
intermittently. Sometimes I can go for several days unable to access these
folders and then the next time I log on, they are there. Could anyone explain
this please and tell me what to do?

The first 6 always show on the left on what? The Outlook Bar? Your folder
list?
Where do they show?

On the left under Mail and personal folders there is a list but it doesn't
always show the full list of personal folders. This is intermittent. I can
go several days not seeing all the folders and then the next time they
appear. Sorry if that's a bit non tech but I'm an old man.

I'm not using Outlook 2007, but if you click on View and expand all the menu
choices are you showing both the Outlook bar and the folder view? Sometimes
the folder view is collapsed, if you see any + signs then you should click on
them to expand them so you see everything you need to.

Thanks for replying. I looked on view and clicked on "expand all groups" but
it made no difference. I'm not sure what you mean by the Outlook Bar but
what I have on the left of my screen is a list: MAIL, then "personal
Folders" then a list of folders but not all of them and under that, "Current
View", "Calendar" "tasks".

I know my "missing folders are there somewhere because they do occasionally
appear.

I tied to post this earlier but I got a message "service unavailable"

If you're using the Mail view in the Navigation Pane, it will show only the
folders that contain mail items. Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, etc. don't
appear in the Mail view. Use the Folder List view to see all the folders.
