email alias and display on outlook..

hi

I use outlook 2007 and 2003 (at home/office). I have a gmail account
which I pop and and things work great. how ever I am trying to see how
to use aliases which gmail supports.

meaning - I want to send email using my ISP (gmail) account but use an
alias. I can configure the gmail account to use the alias and it works
well -

* Expect outlook is frustrating and show as '(e-mail address removed) on behalf
of (e-mail address removed)'

Gmail Help say this is how it is - FINE... Other services like Yahoo
Mail etc can read the display and displays the mail as "User
<[email protected]>". The headers still have (e-mail address removed)..

My Problem is WHen I use Outlook - I configure the account to look at
gmail pop setting and set the 'reply to' address as '(e-mail address removed)'.
How ever the email is shown as '(e-mail address removed)' in outlook display.
The reply to works fine.

Is there any way to set the display name as '(e-mail address removed)' and
replyto as (e-mail address removed) when using pop + outlook ? The display name
is fine in eudora/pine etc.. only outlook shows it as USERNAME
[[email protected]]

Any help..
hm..

Simply change the email address is the account configuration. It is the SMTP
server settings and login information that is required to mail via a certain
ISP.
