Email address displays full details of recipient

When sending emails on Windows Mail the full email address and name of the
receiver are displayed on the header. The old system i used had a "display
as" option and all that it showed was the persons name or nickname. I
usually send mail using the BCC option to hide identities so i know that its
not a big deal but its driving me mad. I know that there must be a way of
changing it to just show a name.
Thanks.

That's what Windows Mail shows while you are composing the email.
After the email is sent, the recipient will see only the name, if that is what
his email program normally displays. If you don't like the method used by
Windows Mail, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

Not a feature of Windows Mail. You do find a "Display As" feature in Office
Outlook, were you using it, instead?

You're very welcome. Thanks for reporting back.
You can customize the Quick View folders to simulate the 'one for all'
approach used by Windows Mail. I keep my 10 account folders in
Windows Live Mail collapsed to just one line each.
If you need additional hints on how to use Windows Live Mail effectively,
ask for help in the WLM newsgroup:
