Ellipsis

How do I get Word 2002 to insert the proper amount of
ellipsis after entered text to the end of a text box
without having to use the symbol feature numerous times.
I do know in WordPerfect if you hold down the Alt and hit
the F7 key twice it will work, but I have not been able to
do the same function in Microsoft Word. Can someone help?

Howard,

by default, Word inserts an ellipsis whenever three
periods are pressed in sucession. You can modify this
using the AutoCorrect function, or use the default.

Click...

Tools | AutoCorrect | AutoCorrect: and search for the
three periods followed by the ellipsis very close to the
top of the list. Use the Replace and With fields to insert
your entries.

Hi, Howard,

Insert a tab stop at the right margin with a dot leader. You can do that in
the Format > Tab dialog. When you type a tab character anywhere to the left
of that tab stop, the space will fill with ellipses.
