eliminate duplicates

I have a file with project numbers and clients, I'm trying
to do a query that will list each client only once, even
though they have multiple project records. I can't do a
report, because the query is a data source for a mail
merge.

Create a query with only the clients field, now open the
query properties box, and set the unique values to yes.
Now the query will display all clinets but only once.
