Eliminate a horizontal line (part of the header) on every page?

There is a horizontal line that seems to be part of the header format on
every page. I have tried to eliminate this every way and cannot find the
way. Please help.

It's probably a paragraph border. It may be part of the definition of
the Header style (Format > Style, select Header, click Modify, click
Format and choose Border). Or it may have been applied directly (click
in the header paragraph, click Format > Borders & Shading).
