efw extension? what does this mean

through to me with the extension .efw does anyone know what this means? word

"EFW" doesn't seem to be a known file extension. Did you ask the person who
sent it?

This has happened twice now, both parties who sent the attachments are
internal staff members on our own network. On Feb 8 I installed a new virus
scan product and it has been giving me all sorts of problems, could this be
another?

Are you using Exchange? Try uninstalling the antivirus product and
reinstall without the mail integration feature and try again.
