XP was nagging me to change my password and I ignored it. Now I leave
my computer running 24/7 and yesterday I had to reboot. When I went to
login it seemed that XP had changed my password automatically because
it expired and I couldn't log in.
So I log in via another administrator account and I change my password
back to the original one so I can still access my EFS files. I learned
before that you can't change your password you used when you originally
encrypted your files, (at least when I tried this before it kept giving
me access denied.)
Anyway, I logged in and everything is fine. Now a few days later I go
to access my EFS files and I'm getting access denied and I'm still
using the same password I had when I encrypted the files.
I'm guessing that I need to change my password to whatever XP
automatically changed it to when it expired.
Any suggestions?
