EFS (Encrypted File System) available in XP home?

I just talk to some person, who claims that he has xp home and is
able to use EFS. Is this possible? It not an illegal version
either.

File encryption is available only with Windows XP Professional,
providing the hard drive is formatted NTFS.

No. You need XP Pro. It's possible he's using a third party EFS
program as there are several good ones available.
