effect of spyware or adware on excel

I do not have any spyware or adware in my computer. If I download and
instal a sypware will it affect easy operation of excel and vba.

I think the problem with that spyware junk is that is affects overall
performance of your pc. So everything is affected.

But there are lots of anti-spyware programs out there.
