I have a problem. I have a small network setup through a
domain that contains 6 computer. 3 of the computer have
login names and computer names of the previous people
that use to work at this company. I need to be able to
log into the machine as a admin to change the computer
name on the local machine to match the new people sitting
at the 3 machines. The problem is I don't have a admin
account and password setup to do so. How can this be done
without re imaging the machines. I just want to edit the
names. How can this be done.

Hi, Ace -

Domain admins by default have administrator rights on
domain workstations. You can log on and rename the
machine that way or use the domain admin login to promote
(or create) a local administrator - or change the local
administrator password.

Also, when you rename the workstations you'll need to
create new machine accounts for them on the domain.

Hope this helps -
