Hi, i have recently started a job where there is a
workgroup network set up. As there are quite a few
computers on the network (all varieties - 95, 98, and
xp), i want to learn how i can edit the registry on one
computer and use those settings ont he rest. It would
take me ages to edit the registry one computer at a time.
is there an easier way?

regards

To automate registry editing, you'll need to start with a knowledge of what used
to be called DOS Batch language, which under NT/2K/XP has become more powerful
than under DOS. I'm not sure about Win9x, but I'd suspect that you can run your
scripts from a WinXP computer against a Win9x computer.

The Windows based "reg" command may be able to do what you want, or you may end
up using "regini" from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit.

Form more information, you'll be better off in newsgroups alt.msdos.batch and
alt.msdos.batch.nt.

Cheers,
Chuck
