Editing problem in Office Outlook 2003

When I want to edit e-mail before I forward it and set my curser within a
word I get the following (Tom McCallie). This is an annoyance and I don't
know what i have dome maybe in settings to cause this to happen.

How can I correct this?

Tools - Options - Preferences - E-mail Options - 'Mark my comments with'
 
F. H., thanks. This fixed it. I figured that I had evidently done something
stupid, and I was correct I had.
