editing hires video

Hello,

I capture video from my screen witha resolution larger
than DV (typically 1280x960). Is there an editing tool
out there that would let me edit the video, add audio
and encode the movie with that resolution?

All tools I tried so far insiste on sampling my original
movie down to TV resolution making any text unreable.

The goal is not to create a DVD but edit a movie that I
can play back on my computer and project from my
comptuter screen.
