Open WMF Vector images in drawing program such as Corel Draw, Adobe
Illustrator or Serif DrawPlus select the clip then ungroup choose the part
you would like to edit and make your changes.
In PowerPoint, you can use Draw/Ungroup. Do this as many times as necessary
to completely ungroup the clip art. Then delete or even give a background
color to what you don't need.
If you need more control over what's erased (that is, part of a piece), you
may be able to use Draw/Edit Points. Or use an image editor, as Paul
suggested.
