Hi. I would like to edit a DVD doco I have to use some parts of it in a
powerpoint presentation. Can I put the DVD into my machine, and use some
program to edit the piece I want, then save that as a slide in powerpoint.
Help would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
John

No.

Well, I mean, you can edit the DVD and convert it to whatever type of video
and insert that video into PPT, sure. But you can't just *embed* that video
into a slide. You also can't just tell PPT which part of the DVD you want to
play.

But you might have a look at PFC Pro if you want to play just specific
snippets of a DVD in a presentation. http://www.pfcmedia.com There's a free
2-week trial. (And to clarify, PFC products won't embed the video,
either --you'd still need to have the DVD in the drive during your
presentation. But it will let you specify just which parts you want to
play.)

I think that's what you're asking, anyway. ;-)
