edit function problem

Using Explorer 6 and Front Page 2000 to edit web site.
Problem is the edit button on toolbar is dimmed and under
FILE on toolbar also the edit selection is also dimmed.
Neither way am I able to edit my website.
Have an idea?

Not sure about this, try the first method suggested in this article.
See if your Edit buttons return.

FrontPage 2000 Not Registered as the Default HTML Editor
When you right-click a web document in Windows Explorer and click edit, a
Web or text editor other than FrontPage 2000 may be started.
