Edit a Form

I made a form from a table. I can edit the data in the table, but for some
reason, I can't edit the entries in the form view. I checked all the
settings, and "Allow Edits" "Allow Deletions" "Allow Additions" and "Data
Entry" are all set on "Yes".

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Thank you!

Make sure the table is editable. Are the arrow and asterisk at the bottom
highlighted or greyed out. Greyed out means not editable.

Pull the table into a query and add all fields in design view. Go to "querys"
at the top and change to a make-table query. Run the query. It will make the
table for you and it will be editable.

Yes, it was already based on a table. And no, setting the Data Entry to "No"
didn't work either...

hmm. Any other suggestions?

Anyway, I assume that my comment didn't work?

The asterisk is greyed out... how do I change that?

no, it is not a linked table nor does it have a primary key
