ecel will only open as read only

i just want to be able to save a file or workbook without seeing that
horriblr read only message please help
 
That would depend upon one or more of several things.

Was the workbook saved in read-only mode?

Does someone else have the same workbook open?

Are you trying to open directly from a CD after burning the workbook to CD?

More detail please.
